Flying Nun Records has just signed celebrated New Zealand singer-songwriter Reb Fountain, announcing her worldwide signing to their independent label roster.

Coinciding with the special news, Reb has announced a new self-titled album along with a breathtaking new single titled Samson. Reb Fountain the album, is due for release on May 1st on Flying Nun Records.

Enter ‘Samson’, a rolling, emotional tug of war, brought to life in an accompanying music video starring Medulla Oblongata who shares a rousing and compelling performance. Filmed in Reb’s home, the video for Samson was directed and edited by Lola Fountain-Best.

The recordings for Reb’s self-titled record came together in Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios. Longtime studio collaborator and Head Engineer at Roundhead Simon Gooding manned the helm of their 3-week recording and mixing stint, alongside fellow musical collaborator Dave Khan on producing duties and Chris Chetland (owner of Kog Studios) who mastered the final result. Joining Reb in the studio to record the album, Ben Woolley of The Yarra Benders and drummer Logan Compain provided the intuitive backing, along with cameos from Finn Andrews and Elroy Finn.
