"Think it over, what's in your head." A whimsical slice of Christchurch/Dunedin guitar pop reminiscent of The La's 'There She Goes', 'Boogey Man' speaks of the inherent fear in us as children - but can easily translate to adulthood troubles. The titular character could represent anyone in our lives - friends, enemies, bosses, landlords - but take it on the surface, and you've got yourself a jangly little tune to slide away to. The first song I heard from The Bats and still my favourite.

"I never tire of this song. Beautiful melody and lyrics and restrained production."
