Mahoney Harris releases new single 'The Shifting of the Light'

Waiheke based folk singer/songwriter, Mahoney Harris’s just released her new single ‘The Shifting of the Light’.

‘The Shifting of the Light’ is a sparse, intimate song about the varied and conflicting emotions around the end of a relationship.

“Initially the song was a visceral response, but as the melody and verse marinated for a while, I realised that while the main feeling was loss, there were so many other thoughts and truths at play and I wanted to encompass them all without judging too much.”

The song was recorded and produced and mixed by Wayne Bell in the loft space at Factory Studios. Olly Harmer took care of the mastering.
