It’s been a whirlwind week for 16 year old kiwi musician Grace Kelly.
Her very own song ‘San Jose’ was officially released last week at the ‘Visit San Jose’ annual meeting attended by over 500 people from Silicon Valley, where it was announced that San Jose are using the song and video to promote this northern California city.
Since then, the media attention abroad has been astounding, with US TV stations NBC11, ABC7 and CBS5 all running the story plus news articles from local media The Mercury News, Silicon Valley Business Journal, and the San Jose Insider.
Local country music radio station 953 KTRY has also been giving the track airplay, and Kelly was asked to perform at the Radio KRTY Song and Wine Series event last Friday, where Country songs are performed by the songwriters themselves, including Taylor Swift's songwriter Liz Rose.
But the icing on the cake came 2 days ago, when Grace received an email asking her to be the opening act for one of the USA’s biggest country stars, Blake Shelton.
One song written by this rising young talent has opened so many doors already, and we look forward to watching where Grace’s talent will take her next.
