Nashville based kiwi duo Tattletale Saints have just unveiled their latest single ‘Bobby Where Did You Learn To Dance’, an upbeat Cajun infused track, instantly engaging.
Of the track, Cy Winstanley told Roots Blog The Bluegrass Situation: “I began writing ‘Bobby’ after a show in Austin, Texas. We were drinking at The White Horse, a local honky-tonk and dance spot when the band on stage started jamming a Cajun groove. I knew my friend Bobby, who is legally blind, had learned to two-step at this very bar, and while reminiscing on the story I started singing the main hook along with the band and the song was born!”
Tattletale Saints are returning to NZ in December to embark on an extensive tour of the country as a duo. This 13 date tour marks a return to the acoustic duo sound that first introduced the Saints’ music to New Zealand audiences in 2012, earning them the Tui for Folk Album of The Year in 2014 for ‘How Red Is The Blood’.
Cy Winstanley (guitar/vocals) and Vanessa McGowan (bass/vocals) have been based Stateside for the last 5 years, living and working alongside Nashville’s best, bringing a new depth of artistry and polish to their performances and songwriting.
Don’t miss this talented duo performing a mix of old and new songs, along with the band’s takes on classic country, pop and American songbook hits.
