Marshmellow is the alter-ego of Auckland based singer/songwriter Marshall Smith.
Following the release of his debut album Love is Love in July, Marshmellow has unveiled the new video single 'The moment I wake up', an homage to 1980s synth pop and the gay music scene of artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Depeche Mode.
The single also features chart-topper and long time collaborator, Kings plus the violin talents of Nick Jones.
The video was directed & produced by Mardo El-Noor and is a stylish melange of flashing neon, beautiful men and time lapse blooms all bathed in discotheque red light.
The album Love Is Love features 15 tracks with collaborations from all around the globe. All tracks are written, performed and produced by Marshmellow - with special guests Kings (NZ) & 3ple (NYC) & Alessandro Cruel (Italy).
