Artist submissions are now open for Auckland Councils' Music in Parks 2017 summer series.
From January through to the end of March 2017 free concerts will be held in community parks and reserves throughout Auckland.
The gigs could be large, intimate or anywhere in between.
Their 2016 series featured 26 gigs with 85 artists and attracted 42,000 people over 12 weeks. If you're new to the series check out their website to see some of the artists that played on the 2016 line-up and a list of events.
Music in Parks are actively looking for established and upcoming artists across a range of genres and sub-genres from rock, blues, pop and electronic to country, jazz, big band and swing, cultural and more.
The closing date for expressions of interest is midnight Sunday 7 August 2016. All artists will be notified by 30 September 2016.
