Nominations for the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards 2016 are now open. Nominations are open to NZ recordings released during the eligibility period of 1 July 2015 - 31 July 2016.

Changes to this year’s Terms and Conditions:

The 2016 eligibility period is for 13 months (1 July 2015-31 July 2016)

1. A sales performance weighting of 30% will be factored into the judging process for the following categories: Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Best Group, Best Male Solo Artist, and Best Female Solo Artist. For all other categories not mentioned above, judges will be instructed to consider every aspect of an eligible release, including sales.

2. Streaming will be factored into any award with a sales consideration ie: Highest Selling Single and Highest Selling Album.

3. ‘Best Electronica Album’ has been renamed ‘Best Electronic Album’.

If you are eligible and you are ready to submit a nomination, please contact Sarah Leota at Recorded Music NZ on sarah@recordedmusic.co.nz to be assigned a login and password for the nominations site. Entries must be submitted online. All printed forms, signed by both the nominator and nominee, along with any other accompanying material required (CDs, video, publicity photos etc) must be with Recorded Music NZ by 5pm on Wednesday 3 August, 2016.
