AEROPLANE MUSIC NEWS MARCH 2016

2016 has begun with a hiss and a roar. Here's a run down of what we have been working on over the past few months.

 

Mice on Stilts 'Hope For A Mourning' Album

Aeroplane Music Records is excited to be releasing Auckland doom folk band Mice On Stilts' new album 'Hope For a Mourning' - out April 15th. MOS are an incredibly talented bunch with a unique sound and we look forward to bringing their music to the people.

 

 

Jackie Bristow 'Shot of Gold' Album & Tour

Jackie Bristow's latest album 'Shot of Gold' has been garnering a lot of attention in NZ of late, receiving high praise from local media (thanks to Aeroplane Publicity) as well as charming crowds on her national tour. For more info about the album show dates head to her website.

 

 

 

The Jason McIver Collective - 'I May No Perf' Album

Jason McIver Collectiverelease their debut album 'I May No Perf'  - out April 1st. This 9 track collection captures the true essence of kiwi music with pop, rock, blues, folk and even dub influences featured within the songs. Listen out for them on Radio NZ Afternoons Live on April 15th.

 

 

Filthy Rich TV Series

Aeroplane Music is the music supervisor for drama series Filthy Rich airing on TV2 at present. It's been a fun project and a great showcase of NZ music from the Songbrokerpublishing catalogue. For more info about Filthy Rich head to the Songbroker website.

 

Shortland Street Song Placement

Aeroplane has had a great year so far licensing a variety of kiwi songs to New Zealand prime-time hospital soap opera Shortland Street. Artists include Paper Cranes, The Desotos, Eden Iris, Mahoney Harris, Andrew Thorne, Swamp Thing, Kiri Eriwata and Gareth Thomas.

 

 

 

Frequency Media Group

We are delighted to be looking after the master catalogue for urban and Pacific record label Frequency Media Group. FMG's roster includes Savage, Scribe, P-Money, David Dallas, Aaradhna, P-Money, Ill Semantics and Home Brew to name a few. More more info head to our website.

 

 

 

Licensing

Aeroplane provides a full music licensing service to film and television production companies as well as the advertising and digital content industries as well as looking after various publishing and master catalogues. 

Our most recent projects include The Shocking Pinks track ‘Us Against The City’ for FarmersTina Cross ‘Walk Away’ for the Family Violence It’s Not OK campaign for The NZ Police and TV series Filthy Rich on behalf of the Songbroker publishing catalogue. 

We have also licensed many songs from the rosters we represent including Roberta Flack (Warner Music) 'The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face' for this Daikin TV commercial.
