Auckland Live presents Music at Summer in the Square - free in Aotea Square

Music promoter, 95bFM DJ, Golden Dawn entertainment manager and independent music fan Matthew Crawley has curated an epic line up of over 50 DJs, musicians, poets and more for Live at Lunch at Summer in the Square

These chosen acts will bring jazz, reggae, dub, hip hop, esoteric world music, electronica, choral, blues swamp folk, French chanson, 80s Hungarian pop, New Zealand grooves, dreamy soundscapes, cosmic pop,  gypsy jazz, country, soul, calypso, kwasa kwasa, Afrobeat and a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll to your lunch hour.

Monday 25 January, 12.00 - 3.00pm
DJ Hayden East

 When Hayden’s behind the decks expect smooth soul, yacht rock, good-times pop, and anything else a sunny day might require. 

Tuesday 26 January, 12.30pm and 1.00pm
Gentle On The Lawn

Gentle On the Lawn is a performance by Kate Bartlett. A hybrid performance work utilizing both live music and movement.

Wednesday 27 January, 12.30pm - 1.15pm
The Mother’s Eyes

The Mother’s Eyes are a psychedelic quartet reminiscent of Neil Young’s more ponderous moments, with a hint of Mazzy Star, and delicious 60’s fuzz. 

Thursday 28 January, 12.30pm - 1.15pm
Will Wood

Will Wood describes himself as a hardcore troubadour, preserving the traditions of country/folk story-telling all wrapped up in a punk rock attitude.

Auckland International Buskers Festival Weekend

Auckland International Buskers Festival arrives in time for Auckland Anniversary Weekend with tricks and high jinks from acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, hula hoop artists, comedians and many others.

Saturday 30 January, 7.30pm - 8.30pm
SJD

There's nothing quite like seeing SJD live! Joined this evening by his full band, this is a show not to be missed.

Delaney Davidson

Enigmatic multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Delaney Davidson combines an unconventional and unforgettable voice with a wry and twisted sense of humour.
