Aeroplane Music Newsletter # 1

It's been a fun and frenetic few months since we've moved to our Pitt St offices. Here's a rundown of projects we've been working on, music we've been licensing and talented musicians we've been promoting.

PRAGUEMATIQUE

Praguematique (please note the spelling!) play an eclectic mix of music from ska, Balkan and European folk to gypsy swing, Latin, pop, jazz and funk. Aucklanders can witness this talented five piece in the flesh at The Vic Theatre in Devonport on October 2nd. Tickets are now available for purchase from The Vic Theatre website. For an extensive list of NZ tour dates head over to the Praguematique website.

DOCUMENTARY

Aeroplane was proud to play a major role in the music licensing process for the documentary Radio Punks which aired on Prime TV last month. The plethora of artists included Suburban Reptiles, The Jean-Paul Sartre Experience,  The Datsuns, The Verlaines, SJD, The Headless Chickens and Abel Tasmans to name a few.

ASKE FT. ED WAAKA

Auckland-based producer Lukas Kelly aka ASKE has debuted his new single ‘FOUND’ – featuring the talented Ed Waaka on vocals. The lyrics are inspired by the challenges faced in a digital world, when we desperately want to connect with the world around us.  'FOUND' is the first single from his debut EP Unspent Moments, due out in 2016. 'FOUND' is available from iTunes. Listen here.
