One of New Zealand’s most respected and experienced musicians, Wayne Bell has played pretty much everywhere with everyone in a career that started at 13 when he sneaked into a Northland pub to play drums in a covers band.

Probably the best drummer Warkworth has ever produced, Wayne is also a talented multi-instrumentalist who writes and performs his own material, scores for TV and film, and is in demand as a producer and arranger for many of the country’s top recording artists.

Wayne will be bringing his extensive knowledge and passion for great songs to Aeroplane in the new role of Creative Manager, where he will be advising on music choices across all of our projects.

He will also be bringing a well developed sense of humour and a selection of unbelievable but true stories from 30 years of touring at home and overseas.
