Johnny Barker releases a new video single from his forthcoming debut solo album Sleepwalking.
Funded by NZ on Air, it was created by BARKER’s 48 hour film team Lense Flare, produced by Rachael Blampied with director of photography Drew Sturge and directed by Barker himself.
Featuring a young girl, played by Johnny’s niece Eva Glengarry, the video explores the idea of losing the one thing that makes a person whole, in turn making them dangerous and unstable. Filmed in the neo noir style, the video takes inspiration from films such as Blade Runner, The Matrix, Looper and Children of Men.
'Haunted House' is a brooding, pulsing but pacey track which features Cole Goodley on drums and Jared Kahi on bass with the remaining instruments played by BARKER. Mixing and mastering of the single were assigned to the expert ears of Simon Gooding.
Plans are now underway for the next BARKER/Lense Flare collaboration and the album Sleepwalking will be released at the end of 2015.
'Haunted House' is now available for purchase from iTunes .
