Albi & the Wolves bring acoustic folk solidarity back into the modern age with dynamic original tunes and uplifting arrangements of popular songs from the past and present day. It's this combination of music that helps the band successfully tap into all demographics from older generations through to university students.
 
Proud albino front man Chris George Dent, electric fiddle player Pascal Roggen, and Micheal Young on double bass reinvigorate folk music for today’s landscape with world-class musicianship.
 
Infusing country elements, soul, indie-rock and pop, Albi & the Wolves blow the crowd away with their energy-fuelled live performances. Beyond the music their engagement with the audience is second to none, making every show unique and fun, whether it be with a sit down audience, or in a foot stomping bar.
 
Albi & the Wolves have built up phenomenal momentum in the last 18 months, playing over 200 live shows including the Auckland and Wellington Folk Festivals. They have released both an EP and single with video, and racked up over 28,000 listens on Soundcloud alone.
  
Their first international release (in collaboration with Mt Eden Dubstep) “Fall With You” has received almost a million plays on YouTube and the single's success continues to grow. Their own single, “Remember Your Name” was also selected by NZ On Air for their September New Tracks playlist, and now features on Air New Zealand's in flight music selection.
 
Chris, Pascal and Michael share a drive and passion for music, the road, and people, so it's safe to say that the future is bright for Albi & the Wolves. With more festival appearances on the horizon, and a debut album set for release later this year, now’s the time to check them out before they leave our shores!
